This year’s conference theme is "Libraries Make the Impossible POSSIBLE!" The conference will be a celebration of the unique, creative, dynamic, and personal ways libraries have and will “Make the Impossible Possible” for everyone!
Your library has met challenges with innovation and resolve, in ways both big and small, from daily workplace practices to how you engage your community. This year's conference is your opportunity to discover what others have done, share your work with others, and broaden your thinking about important, timely topics!
Among the topics you can expect to hear about this year... intellectual freedom challenges, serving today's young, bridging divides, changing lives, and staying relevant in a Brave New World!
The 2023 SCLA Annual Conference will be held in person at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center at 1101 Lincoln Street in downtown Columbia.

Also known as the Moon Festival, this holiday is celebrated by those of Southeast Asian descent around the world on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month. We will enjoy eating moon cakes, making paper lanterns and watching students perform a traditional Chinese fan dance. We welcome all to celebrate the most important aspect of this holiday: coming together with friends. The reception will be from 7-9:00 pm at M Space in the Vista. Performances will begin at 7:30 pm.
