[Scla-list] S. 1392---I Support Libraries License Tag Bill

The full House Education/Public Works Committee today approved S. 1392, the
bill that includes the I Support Libraries License Tag Bill language.  The
bill was approved as amended by the Motor Vehicles Subcommittee to increase
the amount of funds needed from $4,000 to $7,500.  If, however, associations
can deposit $4,000 by June 1st of this year, they can get the tags for the
$4,000 amount.

The bill was read across the desk today.  It will be on the House calendar
next week.  With only two weeks left in the session, time is crucial. The
Senate will have to accept the House amendments if the bill passes the
House, or the bill will go to conference committee.  The changes to the
Senate bill involve increased amounts necessary to cover costs of producing
the tags.
