Here is some good news about South Carolina receiving some of the grant
money being made available for broadband upgrades.

At the end of last week the National Telecommunications and Information
Agency (NTIA) announced grants for Public Center Computing grants for
both Rhode Island and South Carolina.

 

Rhode Island's 1.2 million dollar grant is to expand broadband in the 71
public libraries in the state.

South Carolina is receiving 5.6 million dollars to increase broadband at
the 16 technical colleges across the state.
