Saturday, April 17, is the spring membership meeting of FOSCL, Friends of
South Carolina Libraries.  The programs begin at 10 AM at the Richland
County Public Library downtown.  Registration forms are available at
<http://www.foscl.org> www.foscl.org  and should be completed this week to
ensure adequate meals have been ordered.  

Professor Jaclyn Cherry of the USC Law School who will talk about legal
issues affecting non profits, and FMU professor emeritus Joe Stukes will
give a portrayal of Teddy Roosevelt.  The membership meetings are open to
anybody interested in library advocacy, friends groups, library services,
and community involvement.  Annual memberships begin at $10, and the annual
meeting fee is $10 ($20 for non-members who can apply half the fee to
joining---an unbeatable deal!).  ---Paul Dove, membership co-chair
