Thought some of our libraries might be interested in this display.

Dear Colleague,

Hello, my name is Mike Pellicane from
the McCormick Freedom Project in Chicago. In July,
the Freedom Project created a brand new exhibit Libraries and the First
Amendment. The exhibit explores the many ways that libraries are both
bastions and battlegrounds of First Amendment freedoms. Libraries and the
First Amendment has two main components. First is the virtual exhibit
at [ http://www.freedominlibraries.org/ ]www.FreedomInLibraries.org that
features case studies, interactives, and comment boards. The second is a
versatile poster show that transforms any public library into an
exhibition space. The exhibit is offered as a free service to any library.

I thought this would be a great resource that you might like to share with
you constituents in your state. It is available year round, and is
especially suitable for libraries who are recognizing Banned Books week,
Libraries Week, Constitution Day, National Freedom of Speech week. If you
or your constituents have any questions about the program, please feel
free to contact us at [ mailto:libraries at freedomproject.us
]libraries at freedomproject.us.

Kind regards,

Mike Pellicane
