Human Resources Librarian

The University Libraries at the University of North Carolina at
Greensboro seek a people-oriented individual to provide dynamic and
innovative leadership in the areas of personnel and human resources
management.  Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Administrative
Services, this tenure track librarian position will have broad
responsibility for administering all aspects of faculty, staff and

Responsibilities include: Plan, develop and deliver responsive and
innovative strategic personnel programs and services, including
long-term workforce plans and organizational development. Oversee the
procedural aspects of performance management and evaluation of staff.
Working with search committees, recruit and hire all library faculty,
technical, and support staff. Plan and administer programs that meet
staff development, strategic training and learning needs, including
assessment of those programs. Actively contributes to diversity
initiatives and serves on several library committees. 

Qualifications include: ALA-accredited MLS. Human Resources management
experience in an academic library or related setting. Demonstrated
understanding of the personnel related issues confronting academic
libraries. Commitment to Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity
regulations and relevant laws. Ability to work collegially in a diverse
environment and as part of a team.
