2001 SCLA GODORT Annual Report
SCLA-GODORT had a very productive a profitable year. At the SCLA/SCCLA joint conference (March 2001) the roundtable hosted a program on GPO Access featuring TC Evans, Director of Electronic Information Dissemination Services (EIDS) of the Government Printing Office. The program was attended by about 30 individuals and was well received.
In October, the Roundtable in conjunction with the University of South Carolina (one of South Carolina's Regional Federal Depository Libraries) sponsored a workshop on Census information. Speakers included Ken Wright of the Charlotte Regional Office, Diane Tester of the State Data Center, Lynn Shirley of USC Geography Department, and Dorothy Tudor of USC Academic Research and Data Services section of Thomas Cooper Library. Participants paid a fee to attend that covered refreshments, lunch, and parking. The Roundtable generated between $200-300 that it plans to use for the 2002 joint conference with SELA.
The Roundtable's officers for 2002 will be David Heisser (chair-The Citadel), Libby Young (chair-elect-Furman University) and Peggy Bates (secretary-Coastal Carolina).
