2014 SCLA Conference - Poster Sessions Call for Proposals

In its 99th year, the South Carolina Library Association (SCLA) will be hosting its annual conference. Registrants are invited to submit poster session proposals for the conference to be held in Columbia, South Carolina, at the Marriott Hotel October 22-24, 2014.

Poster sessions are an effective visual forum for exchanging in- formation, communicating ideas, research and future trends. It’s a great way to highlight successful library programs and services.

Student Spotlight Competition: poster session presenters who are currently enrolled in a master’s program in library science are eligible to enter. Judges will select one winner to be announced at the end of the conference.

Viewer’s Choice Competition: All posters are automatically entered in the viewer’s choice competition. Poster session attendees will choose and vote for their favorite posters during the sessions and one winner will be announced at the end of the conference.

Student Spotlight entrants must complete the competition section on the poster session registration form if they would like their poster/presentation to be considered for this award.

Poster sessions may describe an innovative library program or service, may present an analysis of a practical problem-solving effort, or may report or illustrate the results of a research study. Poster sessions consist of materials such as pictures, data, graphs, diagrams and narrative text placed on display boards. During the conference time allotted, presenters informally discuss projects with conference attendees.

**Winners will each receive a 2015 SCLA membership.**
