South Carolina Library Legislative Day

Thank you to all of the library workers who took the time to visit our South Carolina legislators and promote the importance of libraries in our communities. We want to give a special thanks to Benjamin Higgins, the winner of a one-year SCLA membership drawing for non-SCLA members who participated!

Benjamin is a school library media specialist at Myrtle Beach Middle School. Together with Steven Sims, SCLA Treasurer, he met with Representative Rice's staff, Rodney M. Berry and Pamela Ratliffe. Benjamin stated he was "excited to spend this year learning more about other libraries throughout South Carolina and appreciate the South Carolina Library Association."
