To the First Steps Family –
Barnes & Noble stores is generously hosting a weekend-long bookfair, December 11-13 to benefit South Carolina First Steps! Sales at Barnes & Noble stores around the state, even around the country, all count! This bookfair could potentially raise thousands for our organization, but we need your help to promote it. Only sales where customers identify that they are First Steps supporters will count towards our bookfair total!
How can you help? Here's how:
1. Send this flyer to everyone you know! It's included as a picture within this email so you can copy/paste, or you can send it as an attachment. Exhaust all the email lists you and your family are part of, such as:
School/PTO/Homeroom lists
Sports teams
Church groups
Your spouse's/children's/friend's employer (As long as they won't get in trouble!)
Don't forget social networking sites, like Facebook! Or, make several copies and take them to your various meetings, rehearsals, and activities.
2. Add this tagline to your outgoing email messages for the next two weeks:
Support school readiness in South Carolina by shopping at any Barnes & Noble bookseller the weekend of December 11-13! Say "I support First Steps" at checkout and a percentage of your purchase total will be donated to First Steps.
3. Shop, shop, shop!
Do some holiday shopping at your local Barnes & Noble during bookfair weekend. Several stores will also have events going on that are worth checking out. At the Columbia/Forest Drive store, there will be several children's events and a book signing for A History of College Football in South Carolina. Visit http://www.scfirststeps.org/bookfairs.htm for a listing of events.
Thank you for everything you do to support South Carolina's children, and best wishes for a happy and safe holiday.
