Subject: [alacro-l] Goethe Institute Invites Proposals for Leipzig Conference in Mach 2010
The Goethe-Instituts (German Cultural Centres) of North America invite North American librarians and information professionals to submit proposals for the 4th Leipziger Kongress für Information und Bibliothek to be held in Germany March 15-18, 2010.
Proposals may be submitted in English and presentations can be made in English. In the selection process however, preference will be given to those who have at least a basic working knowledge of German.
Some financial support for North American attendees, whose papers are accepted, will be offered by the Goethe-Institut (http://www.goethe.de/enindex.htm) and Bibliothek & Information International (http://www.bi-international.de/english).
Those interested in submitting proposals for this conference should inform Shawn Whatley at the Goethe-Institut Toronto (library at toronto.goethe.org) as soon as possible. Please note that the deadline for papers is August 31, 2009.
If there are questions, comments or concerns, please let me know.
Sincerely,
Shawn Whatley
