SCLA Paraprofessional Newsletter

Calling South Carolina Library Paraprofessionals!
The SCLA Paraprofessional's Round Table would like to invite you to contribute to the SCLA Paraprofessional's Newsletter to be released at the end of April 2016!  Have you recently hosted an interesting program, read a great book or just have something you'd like to share with other Paraprofessional's in South Carolina? Send us a 200-300 word write up about it! We will choose two or three to post in our newsletter. Send your submission to ABracken@RichlandLibrary.com before April 15th to be considered for publication in the newsletter.

Please, let me know if you have any questions or concerns regarding the SCLA Paraprofessional Round Table or our newsletter.

Thank you and have a great week!

Amanda

Save-the-date for April 6, 2016: College & University Section Sponsoring ACRL eLearning Webcast

Save the date for Wednesday, April 6th from 2-3 pm when SCLA’s College & University Section will be sponsoring one of two ACLR eLearning Webcasts this year that everyone may attend at no charge. The Webcasts will be offered at several locations around the state and archived recordings will be available afterwards.

The SCLA Digitization of Cultural Heritage Materials RT, A Survey For Everyone

In order to develop programming that would best fit our members and other interested parties, we would love to know where you/your institution is at on digitization. Whether you haven’t started or if you have made it to your final form and can digitize documents with your eyes, we want to know about it. We’ve spotted a bit of mission creep between this round table and the South Carolina Digital Library, but both could use more support and promotion. The one thing missing in our state in regards to digitization is easily accessible knowledge and expertise from those in our region.
