SCLATECH-L
The South Carolina Library Association Technical Services Section has an unmoderated forum for communication among libraries. SCLATECH-L is used for announcements regarding the Technical Services Section, discussions pertaining to issues in technical services, or just general questions about acquisitions, cataloging, or the like. This is an open, unmoderated forum for communication among library staff at SC schools, colleges and public libraries about DISCUS - South Carolina's Virtual Library. Appropriate topics for discussion include: database training strategies, curricular uses of databases, promotion and publicity ideas, etc. It will also be used by the DISCUS office to post DISCUS announcements and tips on the use of the various DISCUS databases.

This is an open, unmoderated forum where SC Public Library Gates Learning Foundation grant recipients may ask questions and exchange ideas related to the Gates initiative in South Carolina. These topics may include, but are not limited to: inquiring about a specific software application on the Gates model, testing out a new idea related to training with the Gates model, setting up public access screens, or a discussion of problems affecting Gates grant recipients in South Carolina.

ECOLLECT
The College of Charleston has begun a listserv list called Ecollect, which we would like to use as a way of sharing information regarding electronic product purchases throughout the state. If we know what other institutions are considering purchasing, then perhaps we can partner with other interested institutions and get a better deal and share impressions regarding usefulness of a resource, etc.
