2002 Conference Program Report
The Library Administration Section sponsored a session called “ Employee Handbooks” Are They For You?” presented by Frank Shuler, an attorney from Columbia, SC. 32 people attended this session. The power point presentation covered such employee policies as why written policies are needed, what should and shouldn’t be included in policy handbooks, and how to implement these policies. Those attending asked many pertinent questions and some stayed afterwards to get further information from Frank.
Budget prior to the conference was $961.00. Total conference expenses to date are $300, which leaves a balance of $661.00.
