2001 Library Administration Section Annual Report

The Library Administration Section has had a fairly productive year. In March during the SCASL/SCLA joint conference in Myrtle Beach, the section co-sponsored, with the Public Libraries Section and the New Members Roundtable, the program “Space Planning for Public Libraries” featuring library consultant, Rich Rosenthal.

After canvassing the membership via e-mail, we also recommended and gained approval to form a Middle Managers/Supervisors Interest group. At the October conference in Columbia, James Williams from the College of Charleston was elected as vice chairman/chairman elect for the coming year and Kathy Mitchell from the Beaufort County Public Library became the new chairwoman for 2002.
