SCLA Lifetime Service and Achievement Award Information

The SCLA Awards Committee invites nominations for the Lifetime Service and Achievement Award to be presented at the SCLA annual conference. Please read the purpose and eligibility criteria for this award and decide whether you know a librarian who qualifies.

Purpose:

To recognize and honor a librarian(s), who through the course of her/his career has made significant and sustained contributions to the South Carolina Library Association and to its mission of “promoting the development of quality library service, freely available to all citizens of South Carolina.”

Criteria:
  • Sustained record of service along with significant professional contributions to the South Carolina Library Association.
  • Sustained service in a leadership role or support capacity (committees, Board, etc.) for the South Carolina Library Association.
  • Significant actions or accomplishments that have served to inspire South Carolina librarians.
  • Membership in SCLA for at least 10 years
